an introduction
about the ritual movement
The Ritual Movement is a call to reclaim your health, power, and self-worth through embodied, intentional living.
Here, you’ll find educational tools, immersive events, and enlivening coaching that empower you to transform your habits into rituals as you go after your goals.
Rituals are practices anchored to your core values and designed to help you fulfill your vision for your life. Whereas habits are automatic behavior loops that may or may not be aligned with who it is you know yourself to be at your core.
Lasting behavior change is built most effectively on a foundation of deeply-felt safety and wholeness within the body. Thus, most of the rituals you’ll find here are targeted toward taking exquisite care of the body and your relationship with it through:
Mindset
Movement
Nourishment
Connection
Whether you want to fortify your immune system, improve your range of motion, strength, or endurance, restore your gut’s microbiome, cultivate more energy, begin a meditation practice, make time for connecting with nature, or grow your capacity to give and receive love – you’ll find unwavering support for it here.
Above all, this is a humble and courageous attempt to explore the relationship between Being and Doing. Intent and Process. Attitude and Action. To embrace the process of the complete expanse of the human experience, even (and especially) the moments we find ourselves resisting.
Thank you for being here for it. And I invite you to please take what serves you, and leave the rest.
CORE VALUES
Be Curious
Being curious gives us the fluidity and space to shift our perspective. Curiosity allows us to learn, heal, and grow vs. sloughing through the stagnant clutter of the status quo. In this space, we lovingly welcome the full spectrum of human experience as we investigate the roots of what’s important to you, together. I’m also constantly researching the most groundbreaking approaches to mindset, movement, nourishment, and connection – sharing empowering rituals and practicing them right alongside you.
Be Compassionate
In a world that can sometimes seem to hang our worth on how “productive” we are, it’s vital to love ourselves, ruthlessly – especially amidst the inevitable human detours. Our education, coaching, and events are powerful reminders you that you’re innately amazing… simply by being alive! And as you learn to be more compassionate with yourself, you will find it easier to thrive. When you can feel fully seen and honored for your personal healing process, you help the world around you heal – and life naturally falls into step with your own greatness.
Be Authentic
Being true to that deepest, intuitive part of us is rarely comfortable or easy, and it always makes us feel alive. We embrace the beautiful messiness of life as an expression of our divine humanity. Together, we will look truths square in the eye – never hiding from or sugar-coating what we see, and taking tough love actions in alignment with those truths. As a result, you will come to know yourself as a person of character, integrity, and substance – one who meets each moment head-on with clarity.
about Rachel
I’m an integrative health and mindset coach with a broad background in psychological science, yoga, functional strength and conditioning, holistic nutrition, and farm-to-table cooking practices. I have a knack for empowering you to transform your habits, weave intention into your daily doings, and realize your true potential.
I’ve always been intrigued with humans’ astounding ability to transform our thoughts, behavior, and even our circumstances. I’ve been equally intrigued with how – despite that ability – many of us continue to feel stuck in auto-pilot; repeating old habits and struggling to make the changes that our hearts ache for and of which we know we’re capable.
It’s my passion and my calling to co-create rituals together. To walk beside you as you lovingly release old patterns, ground in your body, become clear on your core values, develop trust in yourself, and experience the full-tilt transformation of which you are oh-so-capable and worthy.
background
I’m a PhD drop-out turned applied practitioner. During my time in academia, I studied extensively the areas of self-control, goal pursuit, and well-being. That curiosity sparked a desire to get on the ground level and make a personal difference. A difference more dynamic and fulfilling to me than that reached within the removed ivory towers of research institutions.
Since that pivot, I’ve been weaving the tapestry that is my current approach to mindset, movement, nourishment, and connection.
My curiosities took me around the world – learning about what unites us as human beings. To India, where I deepened my lifelong yoga practice and learned to express it through teaching. To the crucibles of my own endurance as I completed an Ironman in New Zealand. To the healing power of plant medicine in the jungles of Costa Rica. And my consistent return back home to the Midwest continues to invite me to heal at my roots.
I’m devoted to taking what I learn and applying it to my own life. It’s not research, it’s “me-search,” right? I then relentlessly transfer those learnings to those with whom I work.
I’ve had the opportunity to contribute this knowledge and co-create within a variety of settings: As a founding staff member at health-centered start-ups, within fortune 500 companies, as a resource for publications like TIME and Fitness magazines, as a mentor in high school after-school programs, a staff-member at functional movement training facilities, as a speaker at universities, as an apprentice in a regenerative farm-to-table teaching kitchen, and as a yoga teacher at addiction recovery centers.
I’ve worked with hundreds of clients from all walks of life. And each and every one of them have helped walked me home. The Ritual Movement is my token of gratitude and a living, breathing manifestation of my stewardship.

“I reached out to Rachel to meet one-on-one to discuss my nutrition and weight-loss goals. She responded immediately and we set up a time. During our first one-on-one I was pretty much floored as to the amount of knowledge, detail and experience Rachel has in the aforementioned areas. I walked out of our meeting not only with a renewed excitement for my weight-loss goals, but with a new respect for the amount of time and effort Rachel has obviously put into this practice.”
